ENGINEERING BREAKTHROUGH
ERI's simple SWRO invention revolutionizes desalination and reduces energy costs!

The full version of this documentary showing improvements in desalination costs and technology over the last 10 years was originally broadcast on Australian Television as part of the very popular “Beyond Tomorrow” series. The October 12th, 2005 broadcast of this series included seven different segments covering various innovations (including a cancer vaccine). Perth Australia scientists are noted for their pioneering efforts in many fields. The recent award of the Nobel prize in Medicine to Perth Doctors and Scientists for the discovery of the role of bacteria in the formation of human ulcers is proof of this innovative track record. Perth currently leads the desalination world by applying proven ERI PX® technology in their 140,000 m3/day desal plant—the largest in Asia.

Featuring of ERI PX® technology in this video does not constitute an endorsement of ERI or its products by Beyond International.  ERI hereby represents that there is no sponsorship relationship between ERI or ADC and Beyond International and its affiliates. National Australian Broadcast:
Affordable Desalination

The emphasis of this video segment is on ERI's PX® technology and its validation by the Affordable Desalination Collaboration. This is an on-going effort in California by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Navy and several California water utilities who have teamed up with the private sector to demonstrate the feasibility of low energy and low operating cost desalination. In addition, the segment mentions the application of ERI PX® technology in the 140,000 m3/day Perth Desalination Plant in Australia, undertaken by the Multiplex Degremont Joint Venture.

The Australian television production company has gracefully granted ERI permission to show a short video clip of this program in our web site. This clip has been condensed by editing out half of the original material in size for copyright and web site practicality reasons.
