YuHuan China – 36,000m³/day

The challenge is on. The world population is growing every minute. And the demand for affordable potable water increases each day. ERI® is ready to meet the challenges ahead. ERI's PX Pressure Exchanger® technology is helping desalination plant owners save energy in virtually every corner of the world and becoming the industry standard solution.

Given the rapid acceptance of the PX Pressure Exchanger technology, ERI has over 6,130 units installed or contracted globally, helping clients produce affordable potable water, while saving them millions a year in operating costs.

With the help of the PX®, ERI clients are producing over 5.2 million gallons of fresh water a day and saving over $400 million a year in operating costs. The PX also boasts over 10 million unit-hours of proven reliability. In some cases ERI has improved the power consumption of existing plants by as much as 300% and in other cases it has made it possible for existing plants to triple their capacity.

As the first company to demonstrate an SWRO plant producing fresh water for only 2.0 kWh/m³ (7.5 kWh/1,000 gal) - an achievement formerly thought impossible, ERI has a proven, reliable solution. PX technology systems are installed or contracted in some of the largest SWRO plants in Australia, China, Middle East, Cyprus, and Northern Africa to name a few.

Today, PX technology has emerged as the standard for energy recovery efficiency; from small to medium to mega sized plants (50-300,000 m³/day).
