65 Product Series
The 65-Series product line, introduced in 2002, is designed to handle
brine flow rates of 140 gpm to 260 gpm (32 - 59 m³/hr) per PX® unit.
65 series units are suited for SWRO trains with permeate production
capacities of greater than 25,100 m³/day. PX® devices can be manifolded
together to achieve capacity ranges in multiples of single-device
capacities. Each 65 product can handle the brine flow of a 1,000
m³/day SWRO plant at 45% recovery.

4S Product Series
The 4S Series product line is ideal for small-medium size SWRO applications. The single rotor units are designed to handle brine flows from 5.7-20.4 m³/hr (25-90 gpm), and primarily designed for plants with permeate product from 200-400 m³/day operating at 45% recovery. Often, these units are used in parallel to service larger systems. The 4S-Series Pressure Exchanger® devices were introduced to the market in 2003 as a replacement for the 4-inch-Series devices.
The 4S-Series incorporates design improvements that increase the capacity and improve the durability. The current product line includes the following models:
| Model |
Capacity |
 |
| PX-140S |
90 - 140 gpm |
(20 - 32 m³/hr) |
| PX-90S |
60 - 90 gpm |
(14 - 20 m³/hr) |
| PX-70S |
40 - 70 gpm |
(9 - 16 m³/hr) |
| PX-45S |
30 - 45 gpm |
(6 - 10 m³/hr) |
| PX-30S |
20 - 30 gpm |
(4.5 - 6.8 m³/hr) |
All the PX Pressure Exchanger® models have a single rotor with the exception of the dual-rotor PX-140S.
The following 4-inch PX Pressure Exchanger product lines have been discontinued; however an inventory of parts are maintained to support existing installations:
- PX-120
- PX-90
- PX-60
- PX-40
- PX-25
- PX-15
Booster Pumps
SWRO units using PX technology employ a high-pressure circulation loop. ERI's PX Booster Pumps are intended for use in this loop, making up the small pressure losses that occur across the membranes, the PX devices and associated piping. The booster pumps are for plants with permeate production rates ranging from approximately 25 to 350 gpm or 140 to 1,900 m³/day. Booster pumps for larger plants are made by a number of manufacturers. ERI's current product line includes the following models:
| Model |
Capacity |
 |
| HP-2400 series |
150 - 300 gpm |
34 - 68 m³/hr |
| HP-1250 series |
80 - 170 gpm |
18 - 39 m³/hr |
| HP-8500 series |
30 - 110 gpm |
7 - 25 m³/hr |
Each series of booster pumps has two models to cover the pressure range and flow requirements of that series.
Brackish Water
ERI produces energy recovery devices for low pressure brackish water and tap water RO systems with operating pressures of up to 400 psi. These devices saves up to 35% in energy expenses, reduce your cost of operations and update your plant to be environmentally beneficial.
Spare Parts, Toolkits and Support Services
While the ERI PX Pressure Exchanger energy recovery device needs no scheduled periodic maintenance, should a unit be disassembled, we recommend ERI genuine parts and accessories. Click here for more information.
ERI provides a number of product support resources and services. These include printed operations and maintenance manuals, a maintenance training video, "PX School" factory and regional technical seminars, the PX Power Model© SWRO energy consumption calculator, manifold, rack and instrumentation designs, project management, startup assistance, field service and a troubleshooting hotline.
