ERI® produces a variety of PX Pressure Exchanger® models to
suit the capacity needs of SWRO and BWRO plants. PX® technology achieves
superior energy transfer performance and reliability, primarily
due to high quality efficient design in form and function.
Premium Quality and Advanced Technology Over
Any Other ERD
The PX® device functions as a positive displacement mechanism,
allowing for consistent and ultra high energy efficiencies over
a broad range of flows and pressures. This characteristic differs
from centrifugal devices whose performance declines as flows and
pressures shift away from peak design operating conditions.
The PX® is made of high-impact-resistant ceramic materialthe
same material used in bullet-proof sheathing. This material is ideal
for SWRO applications because, unlike metals, it never corrodes
and maintains exceptional form and stability.
The PX® rotor is the only moving part in the PX® device. Driven by
the flow, it floats on a water-lubricated bearing and requires no
scheduled maintenance. Rotor speed adjusts automatically to maintain
constant productivity and efficiency.
Ease of Use
It's ease of operation with only simple flow controls and pressure
limits are necessary for PX® operation. No artificial intelligence
or adaptive control schemes are required. There are no pistons or
valves in the PX® device so startup and shutdown are easy.
Proven Reliability and Exceptional Customer
Support
With over 80 OEMs world-wide standardizing on the PX® technology,
ERI's solution is becoming the industry standard for projects ranging
from small and medium to mega size plants, world-wide. > more
Furthermore, the PX® comes with a certified technical services support that
will ensure your plant runs smoothly at initial start-up. Should
questions or issues arise, a customer support manager is always available
to ensure you are satisfied with the final product.
Flexibility in Modularity
PX® units can be manifolded to run in parallel such that unlimited
capacity is possible. It has been demonstrated that many long running
multi-PX® array perform as well on manifold designs as they do individually
with no balancing or vibration problems. For example, a 10,000 m³/day
SWRO plant operating at 45% recovery requires approximately 12 PX-220s.
Materials
- All PX® Products are made of Ceramic and PVC internal components
- Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) pressure vessel housing
- 254 SMO®, AL-6XN®, or equivalent high-pressure
fittings
- Victaulic® connections for easy installation.
